Parking ramp changes coming to Terminal1-Lindbergh

Beginning April 10, the following changes will be made to the Terminal 1 parking ramps at MSP, which will affect airport employee parkers:

  • Work will begin to consolidate the present General and Short-Term entrances into one entry plaza. When completed, there will be seven entry lanes. The Short-Term entrances will be permanently closing at this time. The oversize vehicle entrance will remain open.
  • General parking will be renamed "Daily" parking and Short-Term parking will change to "Hourly."
  • The Gold Ramp, level 3, will become Hourly parking only. Hourly parking will be limited to stays of 4 hours or less and will be reserved for public use only. Signage will be placed to help direct customers into the new Hourly parking area. The remainder of the ramps will become Daily parking.
  • Employee parkers who currently park at Terminal 1 will be able to park anywhere in Daily ramps. Current Short-Term parking (Pink and Brown Ramps) will be converted into Daily parking.
  • On days when the ramp is full and parkers are being diverted, the diversion assistant will still grant you access to the ramp when you show your badge and point to the transponder mounted on your windshield. On days when the ramp is full, employee parkers will be guaranteed to find a parking spot in the Blue Ramp, level 9.
  • Terminal 2-Humphrey ramps will not be effected by any of these changes.
