Retrieval of Artwork from 1st Annual MSP Airport Employee Art Show

The 1st Annual Exhibit and Awards of the National Arts ProgramĀ® for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Employees, Volunteers and their Families will end on February 28. March 1 through the 7, Airport Foundation staff and volunteers will dismantle the exhibit and organize artwork for retrieval.   Artists and their family members will be able to retrieve their artwork on Tuesday, March 8, from 8 AM to 8 PM. Details about the retrieval process follow.

Retrieving Artwork

  • Employees and volunteers or their participating family members may retrieve artwork from room C-2782-T, Terminal 1-Lindbergh, on Tuesday, March 8 from 8 AM to 8 PM
  • Anyone who delivered art entries for this exhibit in November 2010 was given a "Receipt for Artwork." The person retrieving artwork must present this receipt to National Arts Program Officials upon retrieval.
  • People retrieving artwork should bring their own packaging materials and be prepared to package items for transport as needed.
  • Luggage carts are available for $4.00 each from the SmartCarte dispenser near gate C 14.  These carts could be used to haul large or heavy items out of the airport.   

Parking Validation

Parking will be validated for anyone who parks in short-term parking, Terminal 1-Lindbergh, while retrieving artwork.  To use this benefit:

  • Take a parking ticket from the ticket dispenser when you enter Short Term Parking. Bring your ticket with you to be validated by us at C-2782-T. 
  • Do not insert your credit card (E-Park). If you do, we will not be able to validate your parking. 

Security Procedures

  • Room C-2782-T is in the sterile area of the airport. 
  • Badged employees and volunteers who are retrieving artwork should use their MSP Airport ID badges as usual to enter the sterile area. 
  • People without MSP Airport ID badges who are retrieving artwork will need Concourse Passes to enter the sterile area.  To request a Concourse Pass, please submit the following information to Diane Dombrock at diane.dombrock@mspmac.org or by FAX at 612-726-5236 by 10:00 AM, Monday, March 7.

             -Full legal name and birth date

    (month, day, and year) for each person needing a Pass. 

                   -Approximate retrieval time on March 8.

Passes may be picked up on March 8 at the Tram Level information booth. The information booth is on Level T between the escalators that connect to Green and Gold parking. Pass recipients will need to present government issued photo IDs (e.g. a driver's license) to MAC staff when picking up their Passes and to TSA staff at security checkpoints when presenting their Passes.

Directions to C-2782-T 

  • After clearing a security checkpoint, follow overhead signs to Concourse C.
  • Room C-2782-T is between gates C-18 and C-19.  If you take the Concourse Tram at the beginning of Concourse C, exit at the first stop and proceed towards C-18.
